Current Crushes
A light snack before the long weekend: seven objects of my affection (décor and beyond) for your consideration
Every day I’m shoppin’. And in my undying quest for home improvement a few dazzling items cross my path that smack me in the face with their beauty and refuse to be pushed to the side of my brain. While I mostly can't indulge these crushes, perhaps one of you will be the beneficiary. Thank you for sampling the lust list; I’ll make this format a quarterly quicky if popular or leave it as a one time experiment if it flops (comment to weigh in).
Not included below is my actual birthday wishlist: namely, a savory tart (I am not a sweets person — my own cake is something I always feel I need to eat and don’t enjoy), Fraxel laser treatment (hello 41!), and an EU passport (for obvious reasons).

Ok, ok, here’s what’s really sending me swooning:

This is the exact handmade texture and eclectic personality I’m hoping to infuse into my bedding game this year. Per my last post, this is not a viable option for me (even if I didn’t share a bed with Thomas, my dog would be a liability), but a girl can dream.
A couple examples of Milena Silvano's sheepskin jackets, one more fabulous than the next, as pictured by seller. Milena Silvano Patchwork Jacket
These one-of-a-kind pieces are perhaps the only thing that could get me excited for winter fashion at the end of a New York February. It’s like my 1980s barn quilt jacket and Marfastance coat had a fancy baby.
18th-19th Century floral Delft tiles (linked below), as pictured by seller. Bookmarking ideas for updating our bathrooms (included on my Five Year Goals, mentioned in my recent reno post), and this is definitely on the list. I’m particularly drawn to the manganese colorway, pictured, rather than the more common blue. Reclaimed building materials are a 😙🤌 architectural ingredient.
Renata.Q's Oblon and Reeve necklaces, as pictured by seller. I have been debating which of these resort-perfect handmade pieces I like most since my friend Renata Zandonadi Quaglia (as lovely as her eponymous brand) shared photos beachside of her first shell jewels crafted on vacation.
Philippe Caron's work in Nickey Kehoe's LA store, as pictured by seller. I stumbled upon the prolific illustrator’s nature-inspired decorative art on display at Nickey Kehoe’s new-ish New York location (a townhouse-based must-visit), and I’m smitten.
Foundrae's Personalized Coin Edge Bracelet and Medium Heart Extended Clip Chain Bracelet, as pictured by seller. Foundrae Custom Bracelet or Charm
The maker of my uniform pinky ring offers many personalization pieces that would be the perfect non-preppy vehicle for my children’s names or birthdates. Excuse me for being a basic mom.
An upstate interior designed by Mieke Ten Have and photographed by Frank Frances, as seen in Architectural Digest, and a Gregory Parkinson Blanket, as pictured by seller. Sucker for an AD home tour styled by Mieke Ten Have? Then I hope you didn’t miss the home she designed for her upstate neighbors. After studying the article, I knew I needed to acquire another visually interesting blanket. For the grand finale tonight, this is the piece that I’m most likely to pull the trigger on myself as I work to funk up my bedroom.
That concludes our group retail therapy session. Goodnight and good luck!
I also want all of these things, and own some already. PS I badly want fraxel (where to find the time to look like a psycho for a week) and am currently in the midst of getting EU citizenship, lol.
